I have no idea WTF is going on w/my game... all day today I'll be playing my match like normal and all of a sudden I get a MASSIVE lag spike which results in either:

a) super-jittery/can't even move type shit that goes back to normal after like 8 long ass seconds

b) getting disconnected from server and immediately popping back in without even having a chance to do anything

c) getting disconnected from the server for good

If I'm the host, at the point where I would lag, everyone just gets kicked and it starts counting down to where my team wins by default because the opposition "forfeited".

This is extremely annoying seeing as every time it kicks me, it counts as a loss for me and it can do this like 3-4 times in one match. Also, any sort of streaks are pretty much impossible because when I get back in the game after being kicked, I start over at 0-0. GAH!

The bitch of the thing is that I have no idea what's causing it. I don't think it's my modem, maybe my 360? But that doesn't make sense either. FML.

Anyone else having matchmaker problems when you try to group with people?
When we get 3 or more players usually it will put us in and when it goes to select teams it boots out someone.
Happens quite a bit on 360 and then we have to drop out and come back and try again until it works

I've had that happen. Tried to play with a buddy and half the time it would boot one of us. Metrolike, I haven't had any problems with it today, so I'd say it is your modem or router. What does it say your NAT setting is?

BTW - This game kicks ass.

It's due to the shitty new rules they implemented in the game to "prevent cheating/point farming"

They are dicking with the party system (MW2 is, not Xbox Live) so that in-party chat is disabled along with a few other things. I guess they don't want people doing what they did in MW1: join group, join game, use party comms to screw other players/give away positions so that their in-party buddies can point rape.

Another example of developers nerfing something due to a few cheater dickheads. how pathetic is your life if you have to cheat at video games? Seriously lame.

BTW, Special-Ops co-op is frigging awesome! I wish you could have more than 2 players though.

I honestly think it's my 360 more than anything... my NAT is Open and I have never had any issues with my connection until yesterday. I'm pretty much at a loss at this point and I hope it'll just go away the same way it showed up.

The other thing is that the game will sometimes freeze for a good 20 seconds (completely unresponsive) when it starts looking for a match. This is some bullshit.

i think it is due to the controlling of cheaters and them screwing with it

hope they fix it soon because its a pain in the ass

so is the chat features, right now ground war is all my clan will play

i will do sabotage or headquarters with a few but it gets old muting all the kids
