Evidently the kind of mushrooms my roommate in college grew were a lot harder than that, heh.

I can get you 'shrooms any time you want. Also, the check is in the mail.

Keep in mind every harvest will get smaller and smaller. And its rare to get more than two before contamination begins to spread, the mycelium gets weaker with every flush as its ability to fight off mold diminishes. I guess its worth a shot but I'd start off just buying one to see how it goes.

A friend of mine grows mushrooms. Though, they are magic, not morel.
He says its easy. He uses the clear plastic tote, and once he got them going, they are perpetual as long as he takes care of them. |

FMB, here's a thread on mushroom growing that you might want to read. It's got some talk and pics regarding kit growing, tote growing and plug growing:

I did.
Wife and kids thought the science guy would like it. It was ok. good at times, but did not yield nearly as much as the pic shows. Fun to try, but not something that would be worthwhile as a long term solution.

I have good friend who grows mushrooms in his back yard. He drills holes in oak timbers and then he packs spores in the holes and builds this cross timber type of boxes with them. When the temps and moisture is right they grow like crazy.

Even if there was the wind would blow the spores to Missouri.
