There are all sorts of stats about the forum buried in the Admin CP. I'd love to make those available to everyone, but I haven't really found an add-on that does it well. But, I'm a stats geek, so I might bump this thread from time to time with useless tidbits that I find interesting.

A. I can't believe Rain Man proclaims the proudest moment of his life and he didn't pass out little cigars. PC be damned, there are some things that should be celebrated with a cigar.

2. Just out of curiosity, are we still on track for the next day or two? I'm kind of a nerd for odd events like this.

6,345,926 = since inception
1,000,000 = posts in this year

The board has never posted 1,000,000x in one year.

The other 5,345,926 were from Previous to January 2009.

This is mostly right, though the "since inception" number is probably a little screwy. From what I've gathered, there were some goofy db issues back in the early days that resulted in posts being lost here and there, so who knows how close that is.

Here's how post counts looked last week:

Friday 2129

Thursday 2840

So, if we have similar post rates this week, we should hit the mark either late Sunday night or early Monday morning. So, if you're posting during that time, you'd better make sure it's something epic.
