Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Honestly though, is Hamas back ? Or did he just make an appearance? Did I miss it? How's his family? Link?

Okay...I commend your monumental trolling effort.

However, if I could, allow me to retort...

In a nutshell:

Geno was a Parade All-American at QB in High School.

He was a three year starter in college.

He started in two different systems, one being a pure "pro-style" set (his sophomore year), the other being a multi-receiver/read shotgun set that utilizes a lot of pro level routes and options.

He's incredibly accurate.

He's got a damn near perfect release/passing motion that is exceptionally quick.

He can make every throw in the book and puts the correct velocity on those throws.

He's got amazing pocket awareness and keeps his eyes downfield all times in an effort to find an open receiver.

He's got ideal size.

He's smart.

And I could go on ad nausem with details about why he's an elite level prospect for the position.

However, to sum it up, he's got as many tools at the position as I've ever seen in a QB at that level and his upside is tremendous. His floor is also exceptionally high as he's got a ton of experience at the position and a boat load of reps in the passing game.

He's as good a prospect at the QB position as you will ever find.

If you want to pass that up for any other position, you are a complete and utter reerun.

Hamas will be back.

And yes. I realized after I posted that I'm leaving out a LOT of intelligent posters. You included. Although I don't have you down for Geno currently. Are you still evaluating? That's fine if you are.

Hell, BossChief. I forgot him too.

It would be hilariously awesome if Geno saw CP and changed his Twitter handle to Geno Smith @Chocolate Pain.

(And, to be honest, he's more athletic than Manning with a bigger arm.) How do you overvalue that, especially when you are the ****ing 2012 Chiefs?

I don't give a rat's ****ing wrinkled ass if Te'o ends up being Jack Lambert and Dick Butkus reincarnated. You don't give up the chance to draft a potential elite level QB for a mother ****ing Mike linebacker. Ever.

I'm getting jittery just watching that highlight from his sophomore year.

Actually, I remember watching a WVU game that year and he just absolutely popped off the screen with his demeanor as well as his arm. The guy is super confident and plays that way all game.

Geno Smith is a freaking rock star.

All of this. Plus his passion for the game. He's not a Jamarcus Russell type who's in it only for the dough. He loves the game and seemingly has the desire to be the best. Mix that with the physical skills and he's got the potential to be a special player

People have NO IDEA how hard this play is.

I saw Matt Cassel shit his pants on this EXACT type of play in preseason. Geno makes it look EASY.
