Was never a big fan of DD. Absolutely hated the movies from a bit back. No interest whatsoever in another Elektra (I still love you Jennifer). Will grudgingly watch DD and try not to have flashback images of Affleck. I'm waiting on Luke Cage. Also wish they were doing H4H instead of Defenders.
That is good people are liking it, I just did get the vibe from the previews and trailer that it would interest me. Maybe when it is on netflix I will check it out.

My only hope for DD is Netflix doing a decent job, and hopefully gets gritty with it.

I finally got to see this. No divorce necessary.

I thought it was really good. I think they overdid the sexism in a couple places, but it may not have been as believable without it.

I also think the weapon they're using is a little hokey.

But whatever. Those are pretty small qualms. It was really good. They did a nice job with the period. They did a nice job of making her a badass but not too stupid about it. They did a nice job of making her tough but not devoid of emotion. The comedy was really well done and well executed.

There are two parts that were really excellent. Surely everyone has seen it that is going to but I'll use spoilers anyhow.

Spoiler!

I'm glad it worked and I hope it lives up to the first two episodes and we get a good series out of the story.

Yeah, that was the thing for me with DD. It's gritty, serious, dark, etc. That's going to be a really hard one to pull off without looking cheesy. I don't know how they'll do it without turning it into a CW-esque show.

My reverence for Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter is approaching the sort of insane crush I had on Claudia Black as Aeryn Sun on Farscape about 15 years ago.

Watched the premiere last night finally. Really well done. I am actually interested in how this goes. Doesn't hurt that Hayley Atwell is a pleasure to look at.

I knew it. Dottie's Russian and producers confirmed she's an early product of the black widow program.

That Dottie / Mink meetup was awesome. Totally unexpected.

The cliches are getting a little overboard.... but I'm really liking the series despite my initial reservations.

Dottie is badass and I can't wait for them to expound on that..

I watched it. Enjoyed the whole season but it felt to me like it lost something in the latter half of the season. I think that despite the size of the cast we really didn't get enough into who anybody really was outside of Carter herself. We got some broad stroke character tropes, but not enough detail to get me invested into anyone. Dooley's death and handing off of the reins should have carried more weight, in particular. His actual death, the jump out the window and explosion, was awesome, but everything before and after was cringe-worthy. And there was no sense of a void when he was gone. Because while they tried to push the family thing late, he really wasn't anything more than 'mean sexist boss that Carter wins over'. And I think he should've been more. Same with Thompson and Sousa. At the end of the day there were just a bunch of shallow characters who didn't mean much, and as perfect as Hayley Atwell was, I think there needed to be depth with more than just her.

Maybe it was even a bit too short for the scope of what they tried to do, and another couple of hours would've given them the freedom to explore the ensemble a bit more.

Still, I enjoyed it and hope there's more.

Assumed it started a couple weeks ago? First two episodes of the season are on Hulu.
