Food and Drink Where should I eat in Iowa City? - Page 2

I'm bumrushing the land of the Hawkeyes Wednesday through Sunday for a Creative Nonfiction conference. I plan on eviscerating Dirty John's of their Fantome and Cantillon beer stock while I'm at it. But I need places to eat, too.

So I ask you, Planet Iowanians/Iowegians, where should I be eating In Iowa City? I will have a car, if that helps.

#1 - "Iowa River Power"... Grilled fresh tuna was awesome...

#2 - "The Mill"... Try the Mill Lasagna... Pretty darn good IMO..

Edit: Well I was only half kidding. When I was in Iowa I didn't see shit, but I was never in a city, and I was only in Iowa for like less than an hour. Ask Bugeater, he'd know. I think Council Bluffs was the only city I even went through.

I also seen some pretty good looking places when I was wondering around downtown... and I have no idea if I just mentioned one of them or not.

Council Bluffs is like connected to Omaha, which is Nebraska. So its understandable that their suck crossed the border a little.

Yeah I remember they had some kind of food challenge where if you could eat their monster breakfast it was free. Like 8 eggs, a pound of bacon, a pound of sausage, 6 biscuits and gravy, and a gallon of coffee...

Iowa River Power Company or The Lark are both pretty good. But you should really head up to Middle Amana about 30 minutes away and hit the Ox Yoke Inn for some top notch German food.
