Drew Brees's Bye, Should I Have Fun and Start Brady Quinn?

Ok, this week is Drew Brees's bye week and my back up QB is Carson Palmer. Palmer is playing against the Falcons this week. He usually scores around 20 points. His max this season has been 24 pts, while his minimum was 8 points a couple weeks ago vs. Dungver.

I don't want to fart around TOO much because I have money in this league and am 3-2 and have the most accumulative points (with the team in 2nd having 50 pts. less than me). Not that accumulative points matter, but it seems I have something going here.

I am somewhat considering dropping Palmer and making a huge gamble by picking up Quinn and starting him... This would admittedly be mostly motivated by having fun with it.... not to mention, I don't like the idea of rooting for a Faid to produce.....although there is a chance that he may produce in garbage time.

Is Quinn pretty close to being 100% guaranteed to not scoring me any fantasy points? Or at least not as many points as Palmer? I looked up some of his stats, which are irrelevant and by no means impressive. I did have a chance to reminisce on the Quinn vs. Stafford shootout from 2009, where Quinn threw for 304 yds, 4 tds and 0 interceptions. That would have gotten me 36 fantasy points. By no means am I expecting that kind of production from him this coming weekend, but if he was able to pull some shit out of his ass with guys like Massoquoi, Cribbs, Jennings, Lewis, etc.... then I'd at least expect him to be POTENTIALLY CAPABLE of achieving some sort of production with Bowe, Baldwin, Charles, etc.

I dunno, am I basically forfeiting by doing this? It just feels weird to even consider starting a KC Chiefs QB. There have been match-ups where Cassel has been recommended by those Yahoo guys (in terms of fantasy production) and I wouldn't even consider going there, admittedly because I don't like him. Any input appreciated.

I know, I know, Jared Allen..... but I love the part in this video where he is smiling on the sidelines and is like, "Detroit and Cleveland are having a shootout!"

It's so tempting...

Dude I'm up against has; Matt Schaub, Dwayne Bowe, Dez Bryant, Joshua Cribbs, Lesean McCoy, Trent Richardson, Baltimore's K, San Fran's Defense and 3 decent IDP's. It's a beatable match-up I think. Not to mention, if Bowe produces, that will mean that Quinn is presumably doing at least SOMETHING...

I started out 0-2... I caught a couple teams on their only "hot" week to date...and wasn't really beaten by much... figures. Hakeem Nicks has been a headache. I've had some pretty good luck...someone dropped Meachem last week and I picked him up and decided to start him in my w/r slot....when he produced AND the Bolts were producing, I was like the dude on the left, watching the shit:
