I don't think any QB in Chiefs history has started off this well, certainly not under these dire circumstances.

The opponents were not fellow 1-7 teams, ether. The last Chiefs QB who started out this well was Lenny Dawson for the '62 Dallas Texans. That's after rusting on NFL benches for 5 years and nearly quitting football.

I put him as my backup on fantasy, he is sure to do well. Any QB I start fails miserably but my backups play extremely well, for the team, I sat TT.

Against the Saints, if Herm lets Chan plan a good game, Thiggy should have his first 300 yd game.

Exactly why I sat him, I would love to get the fantasy points BUT I would like to see Thiggy do well. I would love for him to get 300+ and 3 TD's 0 Int's.

Plus I kept Romo, while he was injured so I can start him.

It's not nothing. It's also not everything. Here's to hoping he doubles it and has an eight-game stretch of such productivity.

only thing I'm scared about is Brees and his arm. He could torch our D without Flowers and co not playing.

Even if we do lose though, just to see Thigpen play well would be great.

Just to see him gain confidence in his abilities and continue gaining the confidence of his receivers, relieving pressure from our non-existant running game and making good decisions would be enough for me offensively.

Dorsey getting another sack or two, Dline beginning to gel to stop the run, and some of the 2nd stringers stepping up and making plays on defense.

Saints will win, say, 38-33, but Thiggy will win converts with this game. 4 straight games with a high passer rating and a positive TD to INT ratio will seal the deal. Tyler's numbers will be close to this: 25-42 for 330 yds, 2 TDs and 1 INT. If/when we lose, it will be impossible to pin it on Tyler.

Advantage is clearly to the airborne Saints and Brees' record shattering year vs our some-guy-in-a-Chiefs-uniform secondary. But Thigpen will hurt the Saints and the jury will be coming in on Thigpen as a legit NFL starting QB.

I really don't care if we win. I would like to see thiggy get a win, but like we've said before it's all about development, and the anticipation of Thigpen's next performance has really made Chiefs football interesting again.

Even if he does put up those #s it would be still be too early to say he's proven anything. He's gonna have to do next season too for me to be truely convinced. Not that I'm not totally behing the guy.

As much as we all rooted for Brodie Croyle, Cinderella Thigpen seems to be shattering all our expectations. Give credit to Chan "I'm not Herm" Gailey for getting the ball into the hands of his playmakers. Won't it be sweet if Tyler throws for 300 yds this Sunday and LJ runs for 150?

Honestly, I think as Chiefs fans we have been trained to think that.

I'm not comparing the two but Romo and Thigpen have similar backgrounds, So a good QB can come from anywhere. Maybe, just maybe, Thigpen has jumped at his chance to play and run with it.
