New Orleans threw a wrench into the top 10 when it locked up quarterback Drew Brees for the next six years. Now the Saints are sitting pretty with a host of athletes to pick from with the second overall selection, or they can sit back and field offers from teams desperate to land one of the draft's elite talents.

Virginia left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson stands to gain the most from this shuffle, as he now has a legitimate chance to be the second player off the board.

Meanwhile, Southern California quarterback Matt Leinart suddenly looks like a good fit for Tennessee, while the Packers have to be ecstatic that N.C. State defensive end Mario Williams - the draft's top defensive player - could slide to them at No. 5.

But the player who could feel the most painful ripple effect is Texas quarterback Vince Young, who was already free-falling before another team in the top 10 solved its quarterback situation.

20. Kansas City Chiefs – Tye Hill, CB, Clemson. The Chiefs badly need a young, starting-quality cornerback, particularly with no clear starter opposite Patrick Surtain. There are some size concerns with Hill coming in at 5-foot-9, but he had a very good Senior Bowl and went nuts in the combine drills. Hill was the fastest player this year in the 40 (4.3 seconds), had a vertical jump of 41 inches and placed near the top at every agility drill at his position.

No, I think they know the same thing some us do, which is that Gunt hasn't yet figured out that you have to build the defense from the front to back, and from inside to outside in today's NFL.

It's unbelievable how fast Cutler has shot up the charts. I was listening to Sports Raido here in Tennessee late in the college season and they were saying that he was a projected second round pick. One of the guys started speculating that he could move up into round 1 since he was possibly the 2nd best QB in the draft, but the other guy said that would be a reach. Now people have him going in the top 5. Insane.

Probably more like 5 is realistic. 2005 had 5 drafted in the 1st and 4 in 2003 and 2004.
