Because basketball teams and football teams deteriorate at the same pace. The Rams players weren't near as young either. That may be the worst comparison I've ever heard.

Hey, I love having a great NBA team within driving distance. That being said, if they start having down years, it will be crickets in that arena, just like the TWA dome.

How many superstars of LeBron's calibre had to manufacture a team in this way?

He's the ARod of basketball. There isn't a more perfect comparison (purely from a performance standpoint).

People arguing over who is better between LeBron and Durant is insane. Does it matter? If one is taken give me the other. Geez

If I were surrounded by below average co-workers and an idiot boss I would want to get the **** out of there, too.

I understand Lebrons decision to leave Cleveland, I just hate how he acted afterwards.

This. I don't blame him for leaving, but have some class.

That said, I still hate the Heat.

How many? Not Jordan, nor Magic, nor Isaiah, nor Kobe, nor Hakeem, nor Bird, nor Duncan etc..... They stayed with their team, Lebron bailed on his. He was the superstar and should have rode it out in Cleveland. He did not and this will be part of his legacy. I agree with your comparison of him to ARod.

Nobody in Cleveland begrudges LeBron for leaving.

There are a million and a half reasons before, during, and after that decision that make him an absolute shit bag.

It's not quite as hard to maintain a basketball team when you have 2 all stars that are 23 years old. The Rams stars Warner, Bruce and Faulk though unproven weren't young in football terms. There are a lot more moving pieces to a football team.

How this city reacts to the decline of the team is yet to be seen. I expect them to win at least one title and KD to be here for years so it may never happen. If it does, there aren't a lot of entertainment choices so I'd expect they still do better than other NBA markets might.

Cleveland fans are so in love with the pity they receive I'll bet they are secretly greatful to LaBron.

To be honest, I have no idea why I posted that. I am blabbering more than normal. It must be exhaustion.
