There's been some recent confusion with the old spoiler thread, so I'm kicking off a new one for tonight's premiere. This is going to be the one for folks who've read all the books. So anything anybody might want to talk about is in bounds. Suffice to say, if you haven't read the books, you'll probably want to stay out of here until you do...

Thats BS. GRR wrote it as a horrible as it gets for her scene. Punishment for being allowed to live.

I think you might have it backwards. Her clothes have given her power throughout the show, so being naked will be more real, powerful and scary.

Obviously I have no proof because GRRM does not give numbers, but the way it's written leads me to believe that Catelyn has murdered more people than Cersei has.

All of what you call "murders" by Catelyn could also be called punishment for crimes committed. You may not think they are justice, but there is certainly a valid argument that they are. None of Cersei's murder can be justified in that way, not even her first attempt at Tyrion.

Catelyn is no angel, but there is no doubt that based on what we know, Catelyn is not an evil heartless person in the way that Cersei is. You can keep saying it, but the evidence doesn't support it...yet.

Seriously, your "arguments" are just sad. We have a huge laundry list of terrible things that Cercei did (posted by Hawk), and you come up with Pod being hanged by UnDeadCatelyn.

And frankly, I think it's fair to say that most of us (me certainly) were very surprised at Lady Stoneheart's actions precisely BECAUSE they were so uncharacteristic of Catelyn Stark.

Some women seemingly love Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, ignoring that he is a murdering scumbag, and I guess you have a similar blind spot for Cercei. At least Cercei isn't a real life POS.

You know what? Dzhokhar Tsarnaev did nothing for a long time, then killed people out of nowhere. That's not Cersei, that's Catelyn. I don't really like either of them, but there sure are a lot of people in this thread ready to defend a murderer in Catelyn.

Hey, it's not like he's trying to compare a multiple-timed attempted fratricidal, serial-insestuous, manipulative, power-hungry assassin of her own king and husband to a woman who hanged one guy after she was dead herself. Totally the same thing.

I don't really care if no one supports me, I'm not the one trying to justify what is basically genocide. You'll notice that in the story of the rat cook, the gods only transform the cook into a rat, not his entire family and any one that associates with him.

You said earlier in the thread that Cersei's reason for wanting to kill Tyrion was vengeance for Joffrey. That is only her most recent reason to try to kill Tyrion, as was pointed out.
