CoMoChief has the solution to the QB problem in Kansas City

Hire Andy Reid as a HC. Kick Scott Pioli out the door. Take Cassel, Quinn and Stanzi with him. God what a HORRIBLE QB squad that is. Reid's west coast system will allow these young QB's to succeed early.

Trade for Seahawks' QB Matt Flynn. Assuming we were to someway get a comp 3rd rd pick for losing Brandon Carr, we can give SEA our early 3rd and keep the comp pick.

Rd 1 - Manti Teo ILB - Notre Dame with the #1 overall pick. Why? Because there's no Andrew Luck or RG3 in this draft. Teo was the best player in this draft and very well could be the best LB on this team in a couple seasons. Hali-Teo-Johnson-Houston: Best LB core in the NFL. This guy has a tremendous knack for the game and is a true ballhawker.

Rd2 - Tyler Wilson QB - Arkansas. Some say he won't last til the 2nd rd. I think there's a good possible chance that he will.

Rd3 - Landry Jones QB - Oklahoma. Yup QB and the QB back to back rounds. Get rid of the ****ing losers from the previous regime and have a legit #1 QB competition coming into camp next season. Flynn, Wilson, Jones are ALL better than anything we put out on the field this season and it's not even close.

Rd4 - Tyrann Mathieu CB - LSU. Was once the best defensive player in college football. This could be a sleeper HR pick at a major position of need on defense kinda like the Houston pick was. He's 5x the player Arenas is and Arenas doesn't need to be playing on the outside anyways. God the Brandon Carr/Stanford Routt personnel decision really blew up in Pioli's face.

Find a way to sign Ed Reed. One problem with this team is that there's no true veteran leadership. Yes we have veterans on this team and many Probowlers or players that are borderline...but most of the team really doesn't know how to win. Most of these players careers in the NFL have been on the losing end. Ed Reed knows what it takes to win games.

All of a sudden you have a jean creamin' top 10 defense and some way or another, will find our franchise QB with the arms we have in the stable.

Even though I can be an ass on this board, some don't like me....but in all honesty I love posting here, all of you I'm sure are great people, and the best hopes for all of you going into 2013. God bless.

Here's a post I made in another thread.

One thing that needs to be cleared up that #1 picks are more valuable under the new CBA than under the old one. You don't want to waste them.

The reasoning that says "well, we don't have to spend as much money on this #1 pick, so lets just pick a QB and roll the dice." That is bogus. The #1 pick is worth more in compensation through trades with the new CBA. You forfeit more potential players via trade now than ever before if you are not willing to trade down.

Look at the following non QB trades:
http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2012/sto.../trade-tracker

Cleveland Browns: Acquire pick No. 3 in 2012 Trent Richardson
Minnesota Vikings: Acquire picks No. 4, No. 118, No. 139 and No. 211 Matt Kalil

Jacksonville Jaguars: Acquire pick No. 5 in 2012 Justin Blackmon
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Acquire picks No. 7 and No. 101 Mark Barron

Dallas Cowboys: Acquire pick No. 6 in 2012 Morris Claiborne
St. Louis Rams: Acquire picks No. 14 and No. 45 Michael Brockers

Philadelphia Eagles: Acquire pick No. 12 in 2012 Fletcher Cox
Seattle Seahawks: Acquire picks No. 15, No. 114 and No. 172 Bruce Irvin

New England Patriots: Acquire pick No. 21 in 2012 Chandler Jones
Cincinnati Bengals: Acquire picks No. 27 and No. 93 Kevin Zeitler

NewEngland Patriots: Acquire pick No. 25 in 2012 Donta Hightower
Denver Broncos: Acquire picks No. 31 and No. 126 Doug Martin

Minnesota Vikings: Acquire pick No. 29 in 2012 Harrison Smith
Baltimore Ravens: Acquire picks No. 35 and No. 98 Courtney Upshaw

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Acquire picks No. 31 and No. 126 Doug Martin
Denver Broncos: Acquire picks No. 36 and No. 101 Derek Wolfe

3 of those trades were top 10 trades, and how did they work out?

That he has a severe medical issue? No.

Swallowed against the run? Yeah, at times. Not nearly as much as Jarvis.

Potentially great for the Vikes and Rams. Vikes got Kalil. And Rams got Brockers and with the trade took Janorris Jenkins in the 2nd round b/c of the extra picks that were available with trade.

Have to wait and see how they all pan out.

What is the common theme that all those teams who made the trades to go down ALREADY had?

What about the 49ers, Browns, Seahawks, and Bengals?
49ers took their QB in the 2nd round
Browns took Weeden after taking Richardson
Seahawks took Wilson in the 3rd
Bengals took Dalton after taking Green with the 33rd pick

3 of those 4 teams are in the playoffs. Just b/c you need a QB doesn't mean that you have to get screwed on value.

The Chiefs could trade down or they could trade up back inot the first from their 2nd. The Chiefs have a lot of options. They could sit pat and take Bray with their 2nd round pick. They don't have to get screwed on value.

You should probably wait and see if they can actually WIN in the playoffs before you cite them as examples.

Funny that the Vikings and Rams BOTH have first round QBs, isn't it?

1. Chiefs (2-14) Geno Smith

2. Jaguars (2-14) Tyler Wilson

4. Eagles (4-12) Mike Glennon

5. Lions (4-12) Jarvis Jones

6. Browns (5-11) Star L.

7. Cardinals (5-11) Aaron Murray

8. Bills (6-10) Tyler Bray

9. Jets (6-10) Ryan Nassib

10. Titans (6-10) Luke Joeckel

7 out of the top ten picks would have to be QBs if you are the GM

That type of logic is ridiculious. You don't just take a QB because you need one. You have to consider value and what type of player is available.

I wish we had a real franchise QB available with the top pick. But we don't. That doesn't mean we have to take one. We have other options to fill the QB position.
