Uh, Oh Rodgers is my starting QB

My backup is Luck, so I'm not hosed. But still thinking if Rodgers is out 4-5 weeks with a collarbone injury, then I better jump on another QB. My league actually has a few decent options. Alex Smith is available and has actually put up decent fantasy numbers several times this year, plus he faces all bottom of the league pass defenses the rest of the year. Cutler is available and is supposed to come back next week. Foles is available and after his 7 TD performance last week, I'm very tempted to grab him. But one week does not a season make. He was crap against Denver and Dallas but phenomenal against TB and Chokeland. Then there's Wallace. He is doing well in relief of Rodgers and has good weapons. Eli is available too, and he has been better lately and has a history of finishing a season strong. I don't know. Any thoughts?

Luck is going to be fine with his weapons. He's building a bond with T.Y. Hilton that ought to help stretch a defense.

I think he'll be just fine.

Luck is matchup-proof because of his running ability.

People pull their hair out over matchups this time of year. So unnecessary. Always start studs.

He's 9th in total points my scoring system. That hardly qualifies as a matchup-proof stud in the Manning/Brees/ARod class.

That can change from week to week. Rivers has been everywhere from 3 to 11 and back to 5 in a matter of weeks.

Say what you want about his rankings but there isn’t a person who, if there was a re-draft today for the rest of this season, would take Foles over Luck.

Zac friggin Stacy just put up 130 yards a TD against one of top 5 run Ds in the league.

I'm not advocating dropping Luck for Foles, just picking the latter up and playing the matchups.

LOL. A guy in my league had 3 QB's on his roster. He chose to drop Rivers to pick up a kicker (He kept Romo and Newton) because his was on by. I jumped on that and dropped Boykin. Rivers should put up big fantasy points against Denver this week. I'm not so worried about losing Rodgers now.

Luck, 3 picks. Foles, 3 TDs.

Still drafting Luck based on his pedigree over Foles' production?

Played Rivers over Luck today thinking Rivers would rape against the Donks defense. I guess I shouldn't have, 16.8 for Luck, 13.8 for Rivers

Yes. Luck hasn’t exactly been a slouch this year. Plus they chuck the ball all over the field. One bad (horrific, actually) game doesn’t change that.

Could my opinion change if this were to continue? Of course. But that's the way fantasy goes.

BTW, Gio got me 19.5 despite his "brutal" matchup. Your pick of Spiller got a whopping 6.4

Eh, I've never really owned any shares in Spiller, so it's not like I follow his ups and downs closely.

So it goes. I started Gio in one league, didn't in another (where there were no truly bad options: Bush, Stacy, Gio, 'Dre Brown).
