Any budding QB controversy in Provo is now over, as "Free Agent QB" had a terrible game against Los Angeles. At one point it appears that he even got benched for another guy named "Free Agent QB" for a series. We're welcoming Roethlisberger back from injury.

Due to some odd minor injuries, Anchorage was down to only two healthy receivers for this game, but it didn't really matter so much. Peyton Manning and Donnie Avery were all we needed, as Avery had 15 receptions for 158 yards and 4 touchdowns.

And yet I have Tom Brady, and can't get more than 50 yards from Roddy White and Wes Welker.

Avery was motivated because he's been trying to wrest the starting role from Andre Roberts. Perhaps you need to create more competition during practice.

Key games of the week coming up (from my perspective):

Anchorage Eskimos (8-4) vs. Aurora Borealis (2-10). Anchorage is still chasing Fort Collins for the division title, but at the least can help a strong argument for a wild card slot if they win this week. Anchorage is favored by 9 by virtue of having a very productive offense.

Seattle Undertakers (6-6) vs. Fort Collins Horseteeth (11-1). Seattle has a tall order ahead of it to remain alive in the wild card race, as they need to beat a strong Fort Collins team. However, Fort Collins is only favored by 4, which is less than one would think. Seattle has a stout defense and improving offense, and will need good performances by both.

Provo Lone Wolf Pack (6-6) vs. Wichita Shox (7-5). Provo's playoff hopes have taken a hit the last couple of weeks without their starting QB and HB. But Roethlisberger returns for a key game against Wichita, one of the teams standing in their way. Provo is actually favored by 1 point on the virtue of having a stronger defense.

Rancho will be lucky to make it to 11-5.

Also, can the team name change during the offseason?

Wow. What a disaster for all my teams. Anchorage got upset in overtime, Seattle got absolutely blown out, and in my rush to get my lineups ready this week I didn't get Roethlisberger back in the lineup for Provo and they lost a close game. Dammit.
