Congratulations to the team, it was great to see them get the chance to really celebrate. Sure, the overall game wasn't a thing of beauty, but it was a win and much better than having to make excuses for two weeks why you didn't/couldn't win. Rock Chalk!

Makes such a difference to have Wyman. He might not be a pro kicker but to at least be able to knock down 50 yarders is such an improvement.

The story in the LJW was pretty cool about Wyman. He only kicked in 4 games in HS, and had a single FG attempt, and it was blocked.

Huge difference. Last year we couldn't even attempt anything beyond the 15 yard line because there was virtually no shot it was going through the uprights. Huge difference in kickoffs and punts as well.

Marquell Combs is transferring to a school outside of the Big 12. Probably frustrated he couldn't crack the starting lineup.

I'm not worried about it. With any recruiting class you're going to have some surprises and some let-downs. Anybody in their right mind knew that the JuCo players were a crap shoot. You have the "look like Tarzan, play like Jane" types, and then you have the "look like Tarzan, play like Tarzan, lost to Cheetah in checkers" guys, and worst of all "look like Tarzan, play like a pissed off Godzilla, but has the mental stability of Brad Pitt's character in 13 Monkeys".

Forest Gump would compare JuCo players to a box of chocolates.

We're better off this year than we were last, and next year we'll take another couple of steps forward.

Whatever it takes.
