Last night, or early this morning, we had like 4 of us doing drop zone for like 3 hours. That shit was a lot of fun. I didnt suck so that was a plus.

I played the demo. Tried 3 games. Came in 1st place in two of the 3 games. Did not enjoy it at all.

I'm not a Star Wars fan. I really don't give any shits about it. Going just off how the game felt, I did not think it was good.

It looked great, but was slow and clunky. The game where I was a Storm Trooper, I got my ass handed to me. The other two games where I fought against the storm troopers, I kicked ass. The reason is because the "good guys" (I don't know what they're called) are basically 100% camouflage against the terrain and the Storm Troopers stick out like a sore thumb. I'm sure it's the exact opposite on the snow level. Seems pretty shitty to me.

The game seems very simple, there is no ammo management, your gun just overheats if you fire it for too long. Then you can't shoot it for 3 seconds, unless you hit square at the exact right moment, then your wait time is 1 second.

I don't know who thought this was a good idea.

We haven't had a good SW game in years.
People will gush over it at first, yes. The feel is exactly like the movies and true fans will love it.
The sound effects should be great but that's really hard to **** up.
Its actually not even close to BF. It's targeted at the casual audience. Vehicle controls are dumbed down (D-pad evasive manuevers), no gun unlocks/progressions.. all you have to do is buy/unlock the guns. Very simple game. You don't even start in a base area to hop into vehicles, you just grab them off random power ups.

Played the demo. I'd really rather prefer a single player campaign. Can't get immersed in the environments, which look great, when I'm getting dorked every 20 seconds. Not into these types of games. Hard on my PC too. I've got a 7700 and can only go to medium. Getting close to upgrade time there.

Tried the beta out over the weekend playing primarily the Walker Assault game mode
That is the 20 v 20 on the giant snow map

It was fun, but seems like it will get old relatively quick
There were only 5 guns to use with none of them having attachments
Not a ton of variation between the weapons either
Every match was on the same map and it ended up getting a little repetitive with how the games played out

The pros are that it looked and sounded great

Not sure there is enough there though to be worth $60

already seen aimbot hacks in the beta. this one person reginawattson had like twice as many kills as everyone else and was 1 shotting everyone. lol. Only negative about PC gaming is ****ing cheaters.

Also, Walker Assult needs massive retuning. Its not really that fun because its so heavily favors the dark side! lol Drop Zone with people is fun. We just got done playing 8 on 8 with teamspeak, it was fun.

The running animations and the way the character holds his gun look a lot like BF4. I haven't played it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the gunplay felt similar as well. But hey, if you love Star Wars this game should keep you entertained until Fallout comes out.
