About 8 years ago, my company expanded our office and the way the building was laid out, we had to take a little more space than we needed. We got the bright idea to rent it out, and we rented it to some guy who told us he had a tech company. He talked a big game and we leased two offices to him.

That guy was all hat and no cattle, and I'm not sure he had a hat. We constantly battled with him to pay his $400 per month rent, and I think it's possible that every word that came out of his mouth was a lie. When he finally left, he left an expensive piece of equipment that we stored for a year or two, and we finally contacted the manufacturer about what its value was (or something), and they told us that he'd ordered it and never paid for it.

What's amazing is that he had started a publicly held company that was a penny stock. I don't think there was anything - ANYTHING - in this company but this guy's bluster, a piece of paper, and a piece of stolen equipment. I have no idea how he managed to pull that off, but I can't imagine any outcome other than him taking money and investors losing it. After seeing him in action, there's no way I would ever buy a penny stock.
Yep you just described many of the penny stocks out there. Several of the MJ stocks have been halted recently. If you go back through their history-they change names every few years to bring in a new crop of suckers... I mean investors.

I was checking out an airline that leases time for their high end personal jets-great concept and was making tons of money-problem was-instead of paying mechanics to fix the planes-they would just buy new ones on credit-lol The stock was still trading as they were having a bankruptcy sale of all the planes. Wow talk about risky-keep trading until they shut off the lights.

I only have three up and coming start ups. WDAS is by far a great deal at its current price-closed up another 10% on friday. 96 % buys on news that they funded Power Cloud 12. I am sure if you spent the money you would on a nice dinner out and bought their stock instead you will be very happy. The company has Zero debt and is buying back close to 40%-100 million of their outstanding shares.

If you really want to make money Long Term- stick with Dividend paying company's mixed with a few start ups that look like safe bets to break out in a few years. Here is a list to get you started. And no I don't have positions in all of these-just hours and hours of research. These are the best of certain Sectors.

Start Ups- Penny Stocks- Buyer Beware on most as Rain man illustrated.

1. WDAS- Soon to be the number one Solar Energy company in the world. Have 3 energy Power Clouds up and running with 9 more fully funded and being built. No debt and huge revenues starting to come in. 6 months to 1 years from being listed. Alrady up 4800% this year.

2. Bio Hart- Bio companies have been hammered as of late-and this stock is very low. Revenues up 98% over last year. Have many products ready to take to Stage 3 in US-that are already selling in Europe. Prob. 2 years out from a Grand Slam.

3. Delcath Systems- already making money but are tying lots up into development of several new products. The deal with liver cancer and have an amazing product already successful in Trials in Europe. Prob- 1 -2 years from 25 fold increase.

Mutual Funds

1. LGILX -US Large Cap fund. Low cost, risk along with high returns. 5 Star ratings across the board.

2. SFLNX - Schwab's US Large Caps-5 star and one of Scwabs highest earners.

3. BABS- SPDR- 5 star rated.

Energy Stocks

1. Ferrell Gas- high dividends-new company acquistions-Viking gas. Up 12% in the last few weeks with all the positive news.

3. EVEP Energy Partners- .77 quarterly div- 9.28% Div return yearly.

4. LGCY- Legacy Reserves- 9.10% div return-steady growth.

5. Linn Energy- .24 monthly Div. with 10.22% Div return yearly.
