I am now max th10, other than walls. Was literally collecting gold to go up to 11, but then the new update came out so I will slowly do walls while doing the relatively few upgrades I can do.

At this point, it's a grind. The game isn't terribly much fun, to be honest. My son quit a year ago now, but I've made a couple friends in the clan that we are in and quitting the game would be like saying goodbye to them forever, which I can't quite face doing.

But really I only do a raid or two a day, and check in a couple other times briefly to donate troops and clear mines/pumps/drills.

I've been seriously considering quitting, especially as a couple friends of mine and I are playing Tzolk'in and Caylus online (board games), and that is more interesting and is another time sink in a life with too many time sinks competing for my limited free time.

The good (?) news is that money in Clash just speeds things up. You don't HAVE to spend money. Well, you kinda do if you want to be in the TOP player list with max walls etc., but otherwise, you can get there if you're just patient.

I'm max th10 -- or was before the latest upgrades -- and I've spent $40 total on the game. Of course, it took me 2.5 years or whatever to get here.



If anyone wants max troops or whatever, let me know what clan you're in and I'll drop by. As I said before though, I'm not as active as I once was. I still remember how cool it was when I was lower level to see battles involving ITs, etc., so

Yeah, I just log in once a day. I hate the updates. Once they took out the TH being one star, it allowed all the bigger players to just steal money.

I don't know what TH level he is at, but I'm at TH 10 and I rarely hit TH9 anymore, can't remember the last time i hit an 8, and probably haven't hit a 7 since I went to 10. The penalties for loot are so serious that it's just not worth it.

I admit, however, that I haven't tried buildign a really cheap army and trying to archer circle a Th7 or 8. Maybe that would be profitable. Hard to imagine, though, the loot is so ridiculously bad.

I have a near maxed out TH9 and a near maxed out TH8. I don't play like I used too, mostly just login to do my war hits and clear the loot.

Anyone tried their new game Clash Royale yet? Not too sure about that game yet.

I started playing around Thanksgiving and I've gotten to a TH8 with most of my defenses maxed; will start working on walls after a finish up the last few archer towers ($0 invested thus far).

My clan's had a couple of people drop out so unfortunately we have 8 people that are usually willing to go to war; too many for a 5 and if you try a 10 with only 8 guys, you're probably going to lose badly.

If anyone wants a clan to join, gimme a PM. We're damn low key, no weekly wars or anything just usually try to have one when we have enough people interested.

I'm getting ready to upgrade my dark barracks to unlock the golem. That should open up GOWIPE for me rather than the goblin raids for elixir and dragon raids for gold. I usually sit around 1500 but when I feel so inclined I'll get up to about 1800 in trophies. Nothing incredible but I've found when I get beyond that I get massacred.

I may sit at TH8 for awhile. The 9s just look brutal to slog through. A successful raid would almost certainly be prohibitively expensive. I figure I'll try to just become a massive 8 and then be a benevolent warlord...

I don't know how you are moving so fast without any money invested...

I mean, you can farm a lot of resources... but you are still bottle-necked by the amount of builders and the build times.

You sound like you have been doing your research on attacks though which is nice.

I've been playing since Christmas day non stop and am just reaching near max TH7... that is with 5 builders. (I've spent $20 on gems) To get my fifth builder and to gem my Spell factory at TH7. (how the **** can anyone play without spells for that many days???)

Spend a lot of time at TH8, it's where most people just start jumping up to get those Inferno towers... and then they will never find a good clan because nobody wants a rushed base in war.
