DayZ
With the DayZ standalone playable alpha release looming, I thought I would check out the mod version of the game. http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/

If you dont know, DayZ is an open world survival zombie game modification based off of the military sim ArmA 2 games. www.dayzmod.com

Basically its hardcore mode survival against zombies and even more dangerous, other players.

I have been watching vids for months and took advantage of a steam sale today to pick up ArmA 2.

Anyone playing DayZ right now? Servers? Thoughts? I have a teamspeak we can use!

The only thing missing from my kit is the ATLAS bipod.

I tried camping the SWAF for about 30 minutes on a server that had bout 15 players on it but no one came running... aside from zombies that is. What sucks is that I wind up not enjoying the M4 because I don't want to give away my position and shooting the damn thing draws more of them.

I used to really enjoy playing COD2 & 4 on a sniper only server provided by a clan called The Old Breed. Since COD4, I haven't really found a game that has satisfied that particular itch. I hope this game will scratch it.

Nobody gets out to balota yet. Until there are vehciles, most of the action is on the east coast and Elektro.

Do you have a specific point you like to begin to stalk other survivors?

I was on tonight as well but my little brother just bought the game and I was getting him acclimated to the game.
