***College Football 2012 Bowl Thread***
The CFB Bowl selections are tonight, 8:30 on ESPN.

Reason I started this thread... New York Times' Pete Thamel is reporting that a source tells him Northern Illinois slipped into the top 16 and will play in the Orange Bowl against Florida State. ESPN's BCS guru Brad Edwards says he thinks NIU is in too.

Either way, bowl selections are starting to leak this afternoon.

Just looked at a bowl recap. The SEC beat up a who's who of college football programs beating Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Pitt, and NC State.

The Big 12, by comparison, beat UCLA, Minnesota, Oregon State, and Purdue.
