You seriously need to get your head checked if you think basketball has anything to do with what is going on right now or with the money that is being handed out in mega deals. Any deals the SEC works will have little to nothing to do with Kentucky's basketball. Also when the Pac-10 expanded and added CU and Utah, they did not do it for their basketball prowess. Nor is that the reason why the Big 10 added NU. Lastly the two teams the Big 12 added were not brought in because they were good in basketball. Syracuse and Pitt are basketball schools. Some of you guys need to start looking at things in not such black and white terms. It's nothing to get all upset about.

And the ACC is in danger of becoming irrelevant and for a while there was rumors of the Big 12 poaching FSU and Clemson from them. There are still some who believe that could happen. Neither are basketball powers. The Big East was a basketball powerhouse conference and we see how that worked out for them in TV contracts.

The ACC IS irrelevant. It's the almost competitive conference.

There are now more teams eligible to make it to the BCS National Championship Game and soon to be BCS Playoffs than before any of this realignment began.

It's team changing conferences. It's always happened. Conferences have gotten larger. That's always happened.

I just never saw such a large amount of money for the conference my team is in. I'm not complaining about it, just surprised.
