Today’s Brush With Insanity

So I just creeped myself out.

Backstory:

I have a former coworker on my Facebook. We used to work together at a consulting firm in Louisville. I’m now in KC, he’s in Denver. We are friendly, but I would hesitate to call us good friends.

Anyway, a few days ago, his sister tags him in a post and it’s about the the loss of their other sister. It doesn’t go into specifics, and I just assume it accidental or health related. I send my condolences.

Today, another former coworker texts and asks if I’d heard about the murder. Turns out she was stabbed to death, along with her two dogs, by her boyfriend. So a little while ago I googled her name, Kaylynn Blue, and I immediately recognize pictures of her boyfriend. He used to always post stupid and weird comments on my coworker’s posts. He has a kind of “special” look to him, so I just brushed it off.

Apparently she didn’t show up for work for a few days and during that time this guy went crazy posting hundreds of bizarre Facebook posts. Somebody alerted the cops and he quickly confessed after being confronted. Anyway, if anyone has a morbid curiosity and wants a peak into the mind of someone who clearly flipped their shit and documented it, here is a link to his still public profile. I warn you, it’s creepy. I need to go to bed, but it may be a while now.

Oh yeah, I neglected to mention his mother is missing. Doesn’t take much of a leap to think he did it. Especially considering one of his fb posts was “How to get away with murder...twice”

Yeah that shit was super creepy. Some posts got a morbid chuckle out of me though just by how ridiculous it all is.

Those posts are so weird, like almost theatric. It's like something you'd see in a goofy horror movie.

Makes sense looking at his profile. Dude worked at a movie theatre and a Blockbuster video store. Seems to me he was trying to put on a "performance" with his posts.

I'm a bit concerned that he uses a similar vocabulary and seems to share the same metaphysical interests as Mr. BlackOp.

I remember how dear old Uncle Merris (rest his soul) used to gather us kids around him and say to us, "Now listen up kids. When you hear a guy start talking about channeling energy and how he sees devil skin peel off his girlfriend's face in the moonlight, it's a good time to renew your concealed carry permit."

And to his credit, Uncle Merris never got stabbed to death.

OMG...it's like looking in a mirror...if I were born fat, stupid and had shitty taste in almost everything of cultural value...

I'm deeply offended that you think I would actually visit a Buffalo Wild Wings...that is grounds for a fisticuffs.

I'm no psychiatrist or psychologist but it always appears that these people that go off the the rails and kill in anger then post all kinds of shit online have some sort of past where they were ignored or insulted all the time. Their ideas or words were never valued or they never got the attention they thought they deserved.

Then suddenly, POW they get their 15 minutes of fame and a "I showed them" kind of sick twisted logic that is part revenge and a part of a lingering bitterness.

Just plain screwed up.
