Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

I too grew up around it and know what the blood symbol means and stands for. Players throw up hand gestures and signs all the time but the BLOOD symbol is a VERY VERY VERY Significant hand gesture with a VERY VERY VERY significant meaning behind it. THat is one symbol you don't throw up just because your pumped up or hyped up. NOBODY would get away with throwing that sign up in certain neighborhoods. You wouldn't make it 3 blocks before you got shot if you did that in certain neighborhoods. Some of the worst crime in this country has been over that symbol and the crips symbols and ways of life, Notorious BIG, Tupac are 2 prime examples of what happens when situations like the 1 geno put himself into comes up. What to say geno with his new found money and being on top of the world isn't partying in downtown KC and throws that sign because he gets all amped up over a confrontation? You guys do remember what just happened with belcher. you really think this organization needs another incident? You guys bash larry johnson for his antics, you think geno will be different? larry johnson spit in a womens face that was harassing him, but is it going to be ok when geno gets into a brawl and lord knows the outcome while he's throwing a blood symbol? The kids just got trouble written all over him

Geno get his "thug" image from that blatant idiotic gesture he did throwing that sign, and also his antics on the field and on the sideline when things aren't going his way.

Again, if he's being advised that his stock can't go higher, he'd be STUPID to play.

I would love to see him play too but I can't fault the kid for not wanting to do something dumb.

Holy putting 2 and 2 together Batman.

I saw this poll this morning and didn't think much of it at first. This new information makes TOTAL SENSE now.

so this is where all the callers on KC radio come from...every terrible idea in history is littered on that board

trade down, albert to guard, draft a LT, trade for cousins...it never ****ing ends

Quote:
REMEMBER:

1) Every QB that the Chiefs have drafted since 1970 has been a bust ( which is why I believe they should double dip at the QB position in the 2013 draft -- never before have they done this ).

2) The best QB's in Chiefs history have came via trade or FA. Matt Cassel doesn't count, to me, as that was stupidity by Pioli giving him that fat contract without him proving himself in earnest. I'll take a Trent Green or a Rich Gannon anytime.

You know what the best part of this is?

Let's take a tackle. Because the best LT in franchise history was drafted by...

New Orleans?

We drafted John Alt. And we drafted John Tait and Trezelle Jenkins.

If we're picking players based on past Chiefs history, we're ****ED. We've had multiple busts at EVERY POSITION.

EDIT: CanadaKC voted for Star Lotulelei. After drafting Ryan Sims, Eddie Freeman, Tyson Jackson, and Glenn Dorsey. Why does their logic ONLY apply to the QB position?

Yes, we've busted more on DL than any other position yet people still consider that a safe pick. Non-sense. If they were safe picks our DL would be godly right now.

You can bust at any position not just QB.

Add Tank and Tuck to that list too. Holy hell.

The horrible drafting that hasn't been going on for the last decade has soured my taste as a Chiefs fan.

I know Poe was pretty decent this year, but I ****ing hated that pick with a passion.
