No more Ziva - Cote de Pablo leaving NCIS
One of the last network TV shows I watch. Silly, but has a great cast with great chemisty, and that will take a serious hit. Plus she's still hot as hell.
http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/07/29/co...of-money-ncis/ Cote de Pablo offered 'lot of money' to stay on 'NCIS' Cote de Pablo’s upcoming NCIS exit has fueled plenty of online outrage. But CBS Corp. CEO Les Moonves says the network tried to convince the actress to remain on the show. “I really want to clarify,” Moonves told critics at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills on Monday. “We offered Cote de Pablo a lot of money, and then we offered her even more money because “I really want to clarify we offered her a lot of money, then we offered her even more money,” Moonves told critics at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills on Monday. “We really didn’t want to lose her. We love her. We think she was terrific. And we, obviously, were in discussions. And the rest of the cast and the producers were aware what’s going on. And ultimately she decided she didn’t want to do the show. It was purely her decision. We’re, obviously, getting a lot of emails. There’s a lot of Twitter buzz about her, and rightly so. She’s a wonderful lady. Look, NCIS, was the highest rated show on television last year. We don’t like losing anybody. But we did everything humanly possible. We feel like we exhausted every opportunity, and she just decided she didn’t want to do the show.” Pablo has played agent Ziva David since the third season of the long-running hit series. She will appear in the upcoming 11th season premiere on Sept. 24 to finish off her character. |

Knowing NCIS, she'll get shot in the head right as she and Tony are finally about to hook up.

Personally, I liked Kate better. Killing her off was kind of shocking.

Took me a while to warm up to NCIS because it was a spinoff of JAG and JAG was reeruned. |

I didn't know it was a spinoff of JAG. Never watched it. How did they set that up?

I didn't watch JAG because I worked for JAG officers in the Navy for three years, and I just couldn't reconcile the amount of absolute bullshit in that show, starting with the idea the main character was a lawyer and also just happened to be a fighter pilot (yaaaaaay let's combine Tom Cruise's military roles into one person!). I typically don't watch any shows about lawyers period, since I work for them every day. NCIS can be just as silly, and I've worked with real NIS agents in the past who were about as boring as Ziva is hot, but since it wasn't lawyer-based I was able to watch and enjoy it. |

I came to the show late, watching reruns on USA, I watched from maybe 2006 episodes through to the end of the 2009 season before it started over, so had no idea there was ever even a Kate on the show until the first season started again. Then it was like "who the hell is this chick?" That was a pretty hardcore way for her to go. Loved it. You don't see stuff like that on network TV very often.
