Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

RG3 had the best combine I've ever seen from a physical and mental standpoint, so forgive me for thinking that right now Geno isn't as good in those areas since he has no definitive proof with NFL GM's/HC's.
How did what RGIII did at the combine, from a physical standpoint, have anything to do with how good of a QB he would be? He didn't throw at the combine I don't believe.

And how do you know what he was like mentally?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I can remember Sacc's first mock for 2013 and the QB was either Barkley or Wilson until it was edited a couple weeks later.
Actually, it was Lance Jones as I had us picking in the early 20's and stated that I felt that Geno Smith would already be long gone by then.

Fortunately, the Chiefs have sucked to the point where they realistically hold their own destiny in their hands with potentially the first overall pick.

And that was Geno Smith from Alabama. I remembered that Geno Smith, WVU, was a Parade All-American (probably the single biggest reason I still get the newspaper) and pulled up pics of Geno for whatever reason and just assumed that it was he in that Army AA uni picture. My bad.

But as Reaper pointed out, I was full on Geno at the start of the season and I've pushed the ****ing pedal through the floorboard at this point.

Exactly.

The mocks they are putting our right now is where they think these players SHOULD go.

As teams start talking about the draft, the mocks start changing and guys like Kiper and McShay are busy updating their boards to reflect where they think these players WILL go.

That's why Gosselin's multiple mocks are interesting. The first, IIRC, is the rankings without team considerations, etc.

I guess I don't understand what I'm missing and why no one seems to give Smith credit:

Geno Smith
11,461 yds
67.4% completion
96 TD / 21 INT

Robert Griffin III
10,071 yds
66.1% completion
78 TD / 17 INT

Maybe. Still, you weren't the first to drink the Geno kool-aid.

The stats just spell it out so perfectly. I honestly just don't understand how someone could argue against drafting a QB, especially for this organization. And that QB should easily, easily be Geno.

There was no less than 5 first round NFL picks on that defense and he just kept going for broke and making plays with guys hanging on him all game long.

What he did against Clemson in the Orange Bowl and this season was simply icing on the cake. (Though, that OU game is, as it's been stated, remarkable and does show his potential. Unbelievable performance. If you don't think that this guy can't throw a team on his back and do everything he can to get that win after watching that game then I don't what to tell you. Be happy supporting the pick of Joeckel or Te'o then. I don't know what else to say.)

by the time the draft rolls around Geno Smith will be top 5 and a couple other QB's will probably be in the top 10
