Isn't this available on the new Xbox NXE or whatever it's called? I download COD WaW and it works great.

Here you go:

How to install Xbox 360 games to the hard drive while in the dashboard:

It's very simple to load the game onto the hard drive when you are in the new dashboard. Just follow these quick steps:

1. Load the disk into your Xbox 360 console and go to your Xbox 360 console
2. Scroll down to My Xbox
3. Scroll across to Game Library and hit the A button
4. This should put you on the Recent Games window and your game should be highlighted, so you should just need to hit the A button. Otherwise, scroll to the Recent Games window and choose the game.
5. On the game screen, choose Install to Hard Drive. This process should take a few minutes, but once it is complete, you'll be able to enjoy improved performance.

You'll also note that the game screen contains all kinds of great information about the game such as the achievements unlocked and featured downloads available for the game.

Or try the easy way and with the game in and at the dashboard, just hit Y when you are looking at "my xbox" with your game pictured

neither worked ...... when i see game on panel and hit Y .... nothing happens

none of the games played from DVD are listed in "recent games" only a bunch of trial games etc.

If you've created an Avatar, you're on the new NXE. When I get on later today, I'll see if I can find the way to save games to the hard drive.

The way I told you works... assuming you have a hard drive.
With your game in the drive, turn the console on and when you get to the dashboard home page - move UP to the "My Xbox" section.. it will show your game and will say "Play ::enter game name here:" - if you look down it will show that you can press "Y" for game details... do this and it will give you the option to install game to hard drive.

I'll walk you through it over XBL if you still can't figure it out.

I tried out the 1st level of insane and it's supremely difficult. As bad or worse than COD on the hardest setting. So, I'm rethinking that achievement, unless anyone wants to run around capping guys while I duck and occasionally snipe.

Anyone down to play Horde to level 50?

I'm halfway done on insane; haven't picked it up in a few weeks though. It's not that bad if you have a good teammate - requires a lot of pickups but it's very doable.

I was trying it solo, which I'm sure makes a huge difference.

COD at the hardest level is reeruned. Enemies take twice as many rounds to drop, whereas you're toast in one hit. Combine that with the annoying trigger-spawn system the game uses, and I found it unplayable.

I like games that are fun and challenging, not ridiculoulsy difficult.

It's tough but not impossible. The key is to find the save points. Then again, I'm a COD addict. I've beaten pretty much everything at the highest difficulty except the last levels of 4 and 5.
