Yep, Alex Smith is here to stay.

Hard to swallow.

What a horrible draft. Glad I didn't stick around for the whole thing. I would have wasted valuable time. Reid is a complete moron. Never go all in on a guy like Alex Smith. Your offseason is a complete joke.

That's all

They almost look like they didn't take a QB to avoid upsetting Alex.

Annoyed at the lack of QB in this draft, but I'll take a wait and see approach. I'd be surprised if Foles remains an Eagle for long.

Which was pretty much the Matt Cassel plan. Awesome.

Well they did give up a lot. You do realize the #34 pick is as close to a 1st rd pick as you can get. and of course next years 2nd.

The last thing Dorsey wants is some mid to late rd rookie QB hot on the heels of the guy you just gave up two 2nd rd picks for. I think getting Chase Daniels squashed any intention of drafting a QB.

Or that this group of QBs was just god awful.

I don't like Alex Smith as our QBOTF. But I also understand this is the worst QB class in recent memory. I'll give the regime 2-3 years to show us the solution (and I hope to God it's not Alex Smith).

This QB draft class is so unbelievably bad that teams with established top of the league QBs like the Steelers, Giants, and Chargers decided to take a chance on them.

Give me a break. They didn't take a chance on a QB. The 4th round is a terrific place to take a backup and they got a GREAT QB value at that point in the draft. If we're talking about guys we want to start tomorrow and be our 10-year franchise QB, yeah I wanted a QB, but I'm not going to get butthurt because we didn't take a 3rd day QB.

Am I concerned? Of course I am. I don't like Alex Smith. But I'm also not going to overrate the value of a 3rd day QB.

This shouldn't surprise you, the moment Glazer broke the trade story on NFL network he flat out said Andy Reid loves Alex Smith and they wouldn't draft a QB because Reid didn't want Smith to have another Kaepernick situation. Reid loves Smith as the franchise guy.

LOL None of this surprises me - Look Andy Reid got out coached a lot last season. We shouldn't be excited by his name alone. We're basically 6-10 screwed. So if you're cool with ten losses then this new regime is for you.
