Donnell Bennett's ankle injury is more severe than originally thought. He is definitely out for next Sunday and maybe more. We don't have to watch him rumble for -4 yards for a while!

That being said, even better news. Gun says TRich will be moved back to FB, with Moreau likely starting in the HB spot.

Not good. Moreau may be the "starter", but that just means that he gets to be introduced before the game.

HM - that's classless bud.

Donnel Bennett is a Chief and a hard worker. I don't think he deserves much PT, but I would never relish in a players injury.

Not good? Anything that moves TRich back to where he BELONGS is good. And I think Moreau will get some carries, he definitely showed some toughness on Sunday with his first carry. It's just frustrating that our coaches didn't go back to him.

Don't get me wrong, I don't wish injury on anybody, especially Donnell. It's just too bad that it had to be an injury that took him out of the lineup. It would have been much easier to just sit him on the bench, but our boneheaded coaches are too stubborn.

Moreau will get 10-12 carries, which is good. Unfortunately, so will Cloud, and that is awful.

Let me be positive here for a minute.

Hopefully our coaches are watching the games, and maybe even learning something.

Moreau gets 12 carries and gets 5 ypc. Cloud get 12 carries and 3 ypc. Maybe next game, Moreau will get 8 of Cloud's carries?

With any other staff, I'd say definitely yes, but I'm not sure about ours. I can always hope.

For my sake, let me rephrase.

the Bennett injury is BAD NEWS. I never like to see guys get hurt. But sometimes good things can be taken from the bad.

Last year, the best RB in the game, TD, lost a season to a knee injury and the Broncos got to see Olandis Gary. After watching last night's game, it is clear to me that Gary is a better RB at this point in the game than Terrell, possible because TD isn't 100%. If it hadn't have been for the injury, Gary may have never even stepped on the field.

It is unfortunate that Donnell got hurt. It is good for the team that TRich will return to fullback and we will get to see more of Frank Moreau, who is the best bet to be our feature HB.

The backfield I have been calling for since the end of the last preseason game is moreau at HB and TRich at FB.

Does anyone else suspect that one of the problems with our running game is that the best blocking FB in the NFL (TRich) wasn't blocking anymore?

It is all very strange circumstances...
We dump our starting WR because of felony charges,
We uncharacteristically go with a youth movement because... (our coaching is clueless?),
Our starting FB gets hurt so our most talented backfield gets to actually be on the field together...

As strange as it sounds, this could turn out to be a good year!
