Today 12/27 Mel Kiper says.......

Mel says Mike Glennon will be the first QB taken in the 2013 draft and he could be picked in the top 10. He says alot of things could and will change as the draft approaches but as of right now he thinks the Chiefs should trade out of the top spot if they can and if they can't they should take Luke Joeckel with the first pick. He also say the Jaguars should trade down also but if they can't they should take a DE with their first pick.

Mayock on Blaine Gabbert.

Quote:
Mayock: ``He’s a big, strong kid who throws the hell out of the football and has exceptional athletic ability. He’s not as clean as Sam Bradford or Matt Ryan. He comes from a spread offense and is going to have to work on both his footwork and his pocket awareness. He’s one of those real good athletes who leaves the pocket too quickly. I don’t want to kill him for it because he makes plays with his feet, but it’s something he’s going to have to develop. He’s the only one of the quarterbacks I would take in the top 5. But even with him, there’s going to be a time frame of learning.’’

I've been saying for MONTHS that once Mayock comes out with his top 5s, everyone else will fall in line.

Kiper is a follower, not a leader.

College athletes have a difficult time verifying their accounts.

I think Johnny football is 1 of 2 athletes to have their accounts verified. In most cases I think the agents are the ones who verify their accounts and obviously these guys don't have agents yet (supposedly lol).

One of the guys I follow said he verified through someone at WVU that the one I just posted is his real account.

It's become painfully obvious that without a plus player at QB you can't win in the NFL. This makes every team that doesn't have one desperate to get one. Thusly, QB's will rise up the chart and leapfrog more 'day one ready' players because they are MORE IMPORTANT.
No ILB is more important than a plus QB.
Glennon is gonna go first round, I agree. I see Glennon as a Joe Flacco type player. He's worth the pick, gonna take time to get him going though. He does not have the lightning Geno has, for whatever that's worth.

Not to mention that before he declared that he wasn't entering the draft, Kiper had Landry Jones as his number 4 overall player last year.

Last time I agreed with Mel Kiper ? Never!

Now I will give Kiper credit, Glennon will go 1st rd, but later in the 1st round. Depending on his work outs, 4th or 5th QB taken.

The Chiefs need a QB more than any other team in the league. The ONLY position people are going to trade up to #1 for is a QB.

So there's nobody there worth the CHIEFS taking but somebody is going to trade multiple picks to get one?

Regardless, you guys picked a bad year to suck. This class of QB's looks like crap.
Tim Couch didn't have the smarts or testicular fortitude to play in the NFL like Geno Smith, dumbass.
