What's the best WWII themed flight game for the PC?

All this WWII & B-17 talk has made me want to buy a game so I can make my own bombing runs and get into some dogfights.

Any suggestions on the best flight game that is set during the war? I'm not looking for a simulation where you have to learn 80 different buttons and every dial in the cockpit. I want more of an arcade style shooter with some decent graphics and the chance to fly in different kinds of planes.

It doesn't have to be a new game. An old one I could pick up for $10-$15 would be even better.

Let me know if there's anything I should check out. Thanks.

I just got B-17 gunner:War over Germany. It served me well being a waist gunner.Just make sure you lead those bastard 109's.Shot down seven my first time playing. It also allows you to be bombadier over the target area.

No flying...just alot of dying.

While technically not a war based game, I strongly recommend Crimson Skies (which should be dirt cheap by now). The era is in the 30s and the age of the zeppelin has never died. Many of the planes developed as bi-wings with props in the back. The styling is fun and the handling is great. Money is spent on hardpoints, guns, and paintjobs. You are the captain of about 10 fighters whose major mission in life is to make a few bucks as treasure hunters. The United States are not United at all, they are individual countries and a mobster mindset runs most of them.

If you want chain gun rattling dog fights with barrel rolls and loops, go for Crimson Skies.

So far CSII has only been released on X-Box, I can't wait for the PC version.
