My personal one would be something like Ted Williams, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Bobby Orr and Tom Brady
Across all (American) sports all time it'd be something like Babe Ruth, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan. I'm not sure any football player ever OWNED their sport the way these three owned their sports at their height. Since it's MY Mount Rushmore, you can forget about stars at boring sports like golf, or someone playing a sport I dont' watch, like Federer or Pele or whoever. |

It's kind of weird to call it a Mt. Rushmore. Gutzon Borglum was a well-known KKK member, you know

The bummer would be when the Len Bias part of the mountain collapsed into rubble the night before the unveiling.

That rubble would have a street value of 3.8 billion.

Holy shit, Dennis Bergkamp rep. But, honestly Marco Van Basten and Ruud Gullit were probably better.

Peter Forsberg -- I loved watching the guy play, and it's a shame that he's had so many injuries over the years. When healthy, he was the most well rounded, dominant hockey player in the world.
Honorable mentions: Chris Drury, Joe Sakic Derrick Thomas Peyton Manning -- Yeah, I know... sorry, but he's easily the best quarterback that I've seen with respect to watching a player's entire career, and I wish Ron Jaworski would just follow the guy around filming everything he does on the football field. Mario Chalmers Honorable metion: Sherron Collins -- for his ability to take over games, and while Mario gets the spot for the miracle shot, Collins' steal+pivot/save while staying in bounds+3 pointer a couple of minutes before was actually the more impressive play in the comeback, IMO. |
