Elder Scrolls V

So the guys at Bethesda let it slip a few months ago that Elder Scrolls V was in the works for 2010, and a friend said he read a possible release in 2009... I'm looking for the article, but I'm friggin' STOKED about a new Elder Scrolls game coming out in the next 12-18 months!!!

I think they can learn a lot with the successes and failures of their previous landmark releases like Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 and make ESV an absolute KICK ASS game!

Mine's a home build.

If you want to easily check the specifics of your computer, download Belarc Advisor, which will lay out all your components (see my posts below, the tech specs were just cut and pasted from the Belarc report).

From that, you can check them against your computer's specs and see if you meet the requirements.

The game actually runs better than Oblivion for me. It runs really well on medium hardware.

Do you notice a big difference with the SS HD over a traditional HD?

opening and closing programs i notice a huge difference, once you have something up and running it's not quite as dramatic.

If you play video games you can really tell when it loads a new area.

It really does seem like it takes half the normal time to load/open programs ... include computer boot up.

Anyone else having problems with this "patch"? I wasn't having any issues at all, and now... I had three dragon attacks inside of 10 minutes, and I seemingly lost my resistance to fire. First attack of fire breath of a dragon damn near killed me.

If you are hooking up both video and audio from an HDMI port on your vid card... it may be an issue where the video card is overheating. Open the case and see if the fan on the video card is turning. If it it, and the video card is over a year old, you may try pulling the fan and laying down some new thermal compound. Even if that doesn't solve the problem you will reduce the heat on the gpu and extend the life. Make sure you use Arctic Silver thermal grease.
