Can we get rid of the filter evasion ban?

A quick history of this ban:

It was put in place after GoChiefs (Wonton Prejiduce) was banned for no reason by Phobia and back then they needed a reason to justify a ban to the unruly masses of ChiefsPlanet so they came up with this idea that Kyle (AustinChief) spent way too much time putting these filters in place and it offended him when people circumvented them so they were always supposed to be automatic bans they were just never inforced.

Instead of making up fake reasons to ban people, can we just call it like it is and say:

"Claythan was banned because Phil doesn't like him. Pretty simple. He's a mod, and Clay isn't. Burn in an AIDS coma bundle of sticks!"

because Duncan_idaho, a harmless productive board member who has never said anything negative in his life and has never broken a single rule until just now circumvented a filter in the Royals game thread and I'd hate to see him banned for 3 days for breaking such a sacred rule.

So lets just do away with this fake rule that makes no sense for this AIDS TREE ANTI-FREEZE RAPING reerun BREEDER of a board and just ban people for no reason like I'm about to be banned for this thread.

Yeah, I'd be all for removing that rule. If somebody doesn't want to read posts from people who swear, then we have an ignore feature. People who are offended by words have the option to not see posts from people who use grown up words. This isn't exactly a formal environment. More like an online bar.

Or you could just not worry about trying to change it, just type it as it is, and the word filter will do it's job for those who have it set.

BUT there is a CUSTOM word filter so that people don't have to do silly shit like that. JUST TYPE THE DAMN WORDS and the grown ups here can see them all. That way EVERYONE wins except the people who think it is cute to type SH!P or whatever. Typing a V or ! serves NO PURPOSE except to be an asshole to the people that have CHOSEN to not see those words. If you want to say ****, just say ****.

No shit. Typing sh!p instead of ship takes longer. Also, if one is typing along, and have to remember to put a v instead of a u, then it requires more thought than it needs to. If anything, you're saving people time and effort.
