Baker Mayfield "Mahomes should have been the number 1 pick not Myles Garrett

“Talent wise, I thought he should have been – I love Myles but…,’’ he said with a smile before going out to practice for the Chiefs visit on Sunday. “Coming from the Texas Tech system, there are always your skeptics, people doubting the fact that all he did was sit back there and throw the ball. He threw it 88 times in our game (a 66-59 Oklahoma victory over Texas Tech), but when it comes down to it, throwing the ball is throwing the ball, and he’s really good at it.”

Not even in retrospect.

I was elated when i heard what we gave up to move that far. Couldn't believe we gave so little.

This dude is going to be a fun rival for Mahomes going forward. May we always have the upper hand

Thats the kind of attitude a shitshow franchise needs in its QB, gotta have some swagger to inspire confidence in your teammate

Bad language ahead....

Thats exactly what we finally have. A franchise QB. Mahomes covers for so much on this team. I always read members here talking about how if we only had a franchise QB, so much so I thought it overblown. But for ****s sake, this is flat ****ing awesome times to be a Chiefs fan.
We were well represented last time they were up here, 8 years ago. I imagine this year it'll be epic-er, lol.

It is loud @ Century Field. Its been so long since I've been @ Arrowhead though. I went to about 3 home games the 1st year we got Schottenheimer.

If I were to gather it all, I could dress head to toe in Chiefs gear. I can hear my family/friends now at gift time. "Whats Mike into now that hes paralyzed?"

"I know he still likes his Chiefs"

"Good idea. Its easy to find him something on the net...."

Me, "Oh Chiefs playing cards for the spokes on my wheelchair? Damn, howd you guess?"
