Yahoo Sports grades the Chiefs Draft: A-

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns

Kansas City Chiefs
Picks: DE Tyson Jackson, DT Alex Magee, CB Donald Washington, OL Colin Brown, WR Quentin Lawrence, RB Javarris Williams, TE Jake OíConnell, K Ryan Succop.
Positives: Jackson and Magee.
Negative: Needed some skill position help for Matt Cassel.
Bottom line: A-. New Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli turned his first three picks into key foundation players with the selections of Jackson, Magee and by trading for Cassel at the start of free agency. One thing Pioli learned well from New Englandís Belichick is to use your top picks on talented big men like Jackson, who is a carbon copy of Richard Seymour (the No. 6 overall pick in the 2001 draft) and then build around those guys. Add Jackson and Magee to Glenn Dorsey from the 2008 draft and suddenly you have the makings of a monster line. Get a few linebackers to go with it and the Chiefs stand to have a terrific defense by 2010

Better than bad does not equal good.

Just about anyone could be an upgrade to this roster.

Doesn't mean they'll be good players for us, only better than the trash that was here before.

I hope Goff plays well, I really do - but I'm not counting on it considering he has Niswanger on one side and McIntosh on the other.

Until the injuries last year, Goff was a solid player. If he's healthy, he'll be a significant upgrade.

Tyler Thigpen threw 18 TD's in a gimmick offense with Jones at RG. I don't see any reason to be THIS pessimistic. I can imagine that any of the guys people wanted on Day 2 of the draft would have been an upgrade.

The D-line coach isn't the one drafting.

Adrian Jones is the worst guard I've ever seen start a Chiefs game and I've been a fan since the 60's. To call Goff a significant upgrade is an understatement.

Exactly.

Adrian Jones is the worst RG I've seen on ANY team since I started watching football about 25 years ago.
