Just in case your wondering who the guy with the Chiefs hat is

I know some of you on this board are poker fans. I recently competed in the main event of the WSOP in Vegas. When I walked into the room on day number one it was announced that my table was the ESPN feature table. They miked me and sat me down with Randy "The dreamcrusher" Jensen (from Colorado, probably a donk fan) and to the left of Phil Hellmuth's empty chair (he hadn't shown up yet as he likes to make grand entrances so he can suck up some TV time) and a bunch of other amateurs.

So here's where I want to tell you guys what happened to me in case you see me getting eliminated on ESPN in 4 weeks or so (while wearing my Chiefs hat) and wonder why I fooked up so badly. The hand I got beat on was a play where I pushed all in with the top two pair against Jensen (who is very loose) on the turn when a two of clubs came he made a flush. I was trying to get a read on Jensen and when the two came I glanced at the board and read it as a spade not as the third club on the board. How can you do that you ask? Well guys, let me say I saw TJ Cloutier do it once on TV and guess what? I thought "What an idiot!!". But let me now tell you from experience, it's a heck of a lot different when your in the chair and your studying your opponents face so hard for a tell with cameras whirring around your head. At that level of poker you only glance at the board because you don't want to miss anything that your opponent might give away by looking at the cards too long.

Ok, I feel better now. I hope my fellow poker playing Chiefs fans will cut me some slack as I feel a little bit like a guy who trained 6 months for a marathon and then sprained his ankle on the third mile. Hopefully ESPN won't show it.
