Tell me what you know about power washing a house

Ok, here's the deal. Our vinyl sided house is looking kind of ratty with dirt, mold, etc., and could use a good washing.

I have a small power washer and was originally thinking of getting on a ladder and doing it myself, but now i'm thinking it might be easier (obviously) to hire some one to just come out and do it so i don't have to hassle with it.

So...any tips/tricks should i decide to go solo, or anyone know of a reputable firm the the KC area that performs such services?

Ok...problem solved. Just hired a guy who will be here on Monday...insured, licensed, etc.

I called a couple of places and they were all about the same cost. I picked the guy i liked best from the phone call....it's gonna run me about 3 bills. It does sound like a lot, but it's worth the cost to not have to do it myself.

Thanks for all who participated. Hopefully this info will help someone else in the future.

Well done. Be sure and be home when he does it so you can watch him work while sitting on your ass. Get your full $300 worth.
