“Deep Impact” made the mistake of taking a serious approach to an absurd plot.

Silly plot + inappropriate gravitas = embarrassing flick.

“Armageddon” was a lot more fun.

Well, because it's a good movie, to be honest. But the fact that she's topless in it certainly doesn't make it worse.

Like Gaz always says, you gotta turn off your brain. Once I did that, it was an OK movie. I thought Armageddon was OK, too. Neither were real good by any means. But they weren't bad, either.

I am a big fan of the "End of the World" genre.

I thought the movie was o.k, but the romantic angle with that Chick being portrayed as the goddess of the after asteroid mankind kind of sucked.

I can suspend disbelief for a minute, but come on, landing on an asteroid?

The premise of Deep Impact wasn't that far fetched. Yeah it was stupid, but it looked like Skakespeare compared to the dog turd that is Armageddon.
