I like it in a fountain because it's beautiful when it glints in the sunlight.

Fountain drinks, when done correctly, are better than canned drinks. However, the consistency of canned drinks is higher. My preference depends on my knowledge of the fountain in question, and the extent to which I feel like gambling for a big payoff.

I thought about adding the "old school fountain" where they mix the drinks manually, but you can't find those around too much anymore.

I've found that often when buying soda in glass bottles in Phoenix or Tucson, it's "Mexican" soda.... which, near as I can tell, is supposed to be the same as the American counterpart, except... made in Mexico. Y'know... with Mexican water.

WhyTF would I want that?

The morons should check their brix regular. It's not difficult, doesn't cost anything, and doesn't take very long, and guarantees a perfectly mixed fountain drink.

Soda is about the worst fuggin thing you can put in your stomach, so the only way I'll drink that sh*t is when it's doused with alcohol- that way, I can corrupt my liver as well...

Poured from a refigerated glass bottle over cubed ice. Foutain comes out too hot, thereby melting too much shaved ice, and watering down the product.

I don't really like soda pop. I am not much for sweet drinks. But if I had to drink one I would rather have it in a glass of ice or from a fountain.
