Coach Carter
What do you guys think of this guys story? Samuel L Jackson is on Dr. Phil right talking about the movie and the "Real life" story. Apparantly the real Coach locked his players out of the gym after they had failing grades. Sounds like someone finally stood up and did the right thing. Nice story.

The school board did that for a few programs in Texas and Oklahoma a few years back as well - in all three big sports.

It is cool that a Coach took the incentive, but if the school board was doing its job, he wouldn't have to.

Exactly. I think this is where the movie gets its drama from. Apparantly quite a few parents, the principle and school board members objected to his actions.
