I've been running Trend Micro Internet Security at home for about 6 months now, and haven't had a single issue. I would definitely recommend it. |

Trend is great if you feel like paying for something. I've used them for years on server platforms - much better than Symantec.
However, why pay for it? |

Best Buy has Trend Micro for $49(not including a $25) rebate...then, I also have about $15 in reward zone certificates...so it would only cost 10.

Trend has come along way in the past couple of years ... back in 2K up until 2002 and part of 2003 (I think) they had an update that screwed up allot of machines ... why they didn't fix it I have NO idea. But they seem to have it under control and I think they are a reputable company ...
I can sell you an OEM Nortons Internet Security 05 for $35 shipped to your door .... Let me know if you are interested ... Cliff |

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I just tried to upgrade my licensed version of AVG 6.O(through my school district) and I received this message from grisoft. "AVG-UPDATE is not available for users of AVG Free Edition, AVG Trial versions or users of AVG 6.0." From what I can tell, 7.0 is "free" for a 30 day trial period only.

Go here: http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ Download that and install it. Notice the fine print at the bottom: Would you like to use AVG Anti-Virus for your business or organization? Download a trial version of one of Grisoft's AVG Full Editions and use it free-of-charge for 30 days. All of the features of the AVG Full Editions are available for you to use during the trial period! That applies to the full versions only, not the free version. |
