Prayer request for my MIL
Today my mother-in-law is having the first of two surgeries to repair a fractured vertabrae in her back. This will be her 5th and 6th back surgeries. Every time they fuse one level, the level above it breaks because her bones are soft and weak. This is a result of her numerous medical problems. She is diabetic, on dialysis 3 days a week and has had a heart bypass. Needless to say, because of her medical history and previous back surgeries, this is a riskier operation than normal. 7-10 days after todays surgery they will operate again to put in hardware that hopefully will stabilize her entire spine. I have asked for prayers for her before and believe they have helped, so again I ask you all to think good thoughts and pray for a successful surgery and a quick recovery.
