Mike Sweeney
I watched most of the game last night and saw Sweeney holding his left side in his rib cage area. Did he get hurt? I missed the play and next thing I know he was wincing a bit. Any word on if he will play or rest today?

Either way whats the best sight for Royals info?

Thanks for the links. FWIW I havent seen anything regarding this side holding issue, but when it comes to Sweeney we all hold our breath if he even remotely looks hurt.

Yeah, he leaned over the fence/tarp in an effort to catch a foul ball that was two or three rows deep in the stands. I can't imagine he was seriously hurt in any way, but he did definitely clutch his ribs after that play. Wouldn't surprise me if he got a light bruise there or something (which for Sweeny, could be season-ending).
