What will be our new Madden 2006 rating on defence?

It's been pretty bad the past couple of years. I'm just wondering what kind of rating we'll get with all our new signings. I'm hoping for around 80.

I say high 80's.

It's not like they know what they're doing.

I don't know about team overall, but here's what I think the individual OVRs should be:

Wesley - 80
Knight - 90
Surtain - 93
Warfield - 82
Johnson - 79
Bell -88
Fujita - 81
Allen - 80
Dalton - 83
Sims - 80
Hicks - 78

Surtain was a 96 last year, his number should stay at about 95.

Allen should be an 84.

Johnson will be an 80.

Bell will be an 89.

I'd say about an 88 overall.

Hicks was there posterboy for the chiefs a few years back, no way he's under 80. I say 83 plus I think Warfield will be rated higher, say 85 or 86. Hell they had him rated that high back when he was sucking ass. I think wesley will probably be rated lower. They never give our safety's props, even when they played good.

I've already added the FA acquisitions and imported Derrick Johnson, and our D rates out at 88. I do need to adjust the safeties ratings though.

The real kicker is how bad they screw our offense over.

It's really hard to tell. First off, it's not Madden 2006 anymore. It's Madden Next Gen. Those games dont really go by FA acquisitions in the offseason, they go by previous defensive stats from the previous season. Since our defense was shitty last year, it might be in the upper 70's. If they account of how well Jared Allen played, what they think DJ's potential is, the addition of Surtain and Knight in the secondary, Bell when healthy (who was a 93 in Madden 2005, might slip b/c of last yr's injury), Warfield's rating will go up. Our Dline will go up in ratings. If all of this were to happen, our defense could be as good as mid upper 80's. If not then like I said before, upper 70's.

I said what "I think," not EA.

I'm sure EA will give Hicks an 85 again.

Jared Allen wasnt even on last years game unless you played online and you downloaded the roster updates, but then you could only play the new players online. I'm gonna look at last years game firs then make a prediction. BRB.

First off, you're wrong. It's still Madden 06. Next Gen is for the next consoles, and will not be the name of the actual game.

Having comprehesion issues, are we?

Plus, they take everything into account when determining ratings.

without much thought into it, here is my prediction for most of the team:

Trent Green: 92
Priest Holmes: 93
Larry Johnson: 85
T-Rich: 96
Tony G: 98
Kris Wilson: 72
Jason Dunn: 76
Eddie Kennison: 85
Johnie Morton: 77
Sammie Parker: 71
Hall: 77 (of course his kick return rating will be 95-99)
Boerichter: 70
Willie Roaf: 97
Brian Waters: 94
Casey Wiegmann: 90
Will Shields: 98
John Welbourne: 84

Eric Hicks: 80 (he's always rated at least 80 and he doesn't deserve it)
Lianol Dalton: 79
Ryan Sims: 79
Junior Siavi: 74
Jared Allen: 82
Carlos Hall: 78
Scott Fujita: 84
Kendrell Bell: 87
DJ: 81
Shawn Barber: 83
Kawika: 74
Mad-Dog: 75
Patrick Surtain: 89
Eric Warfield: 83
William Bartee: 74 (even though he should be a 15)
McCleon: 75
Battle: 69
Knight: 86
Wesley: 85
Woods: 82
Harts: 75

Tynes: 79
Colquitt: 82
