I hope all these moves work

and I think it will a much better team on the field but history does not always support what have dreamed of. If signing a bunch of FA's got you the title then the Redskins and Raiders would be champs alot. The coaches have got to get these guys prepared by teaching them Gun's scheme. I hope Gun simplifies it some so the learning curve will go down on our new superstars. The players must find a way to come together quickly and leader's must be established on defense for us to get to the SB.

I really like our chances of winning the division. Our second half of the season schedule looks lighter than in recent years. I'm positive we will make the playoffs but SB will take the above to accomplish.

I guess this is what passes for a positive post in your world? Aren't you one of the guys who was in hysterics about how Carl Peterson never does anything to help the team win? And now you complain that free agent acquisitions aren't necessarily the answer? Are you a woman?

It's an itelligent post with some very valid points. I don't read it as a complaint at all. I think you're trying too hard to find something that's not there.

I don't know for certain, I'd have to research it to be sure, but it seems like a lot of the guys that the Skins and Raiders have signed in FA over the years, especially the big name guys, have been players like Bruce smith and Warren Sapp, who are on the downside of their careers when signed.

We've signed Bell, 26?, added Surtain 29?, and Hall, 26?.

Knight might be a little older.

But for the most part, the people we've added are in the prime of their careers, or approaching it.

Knight's 29, too.

Thank you very much. I was not trying to be a downer I'm just as thrilled as all of us should be. I have ranted on Carl for not doing something about the defense but I have posted many apologies and praises of him lately.

My thoughts are still the same. I think we will win the West or at least get in the playoffs but it's still vital that these players learn the scheme quickly and get on the same page for maximum success this year while the offense is still hot.

I said or was getting at. I LOVE our FA's and DJ but they must come together and learn Gun's defense. I truly think we will win the west or get a wild card but the SB will be tough because they have not played together and will be learning. Not impossible but tough to do in the first year of Guns scheme for our 5 super stars.

I have bashed Carl hard but I will apologize again like I have before. He did a miracle this off season. Thank you Carl for the greatest off season in Chiefs history.
