Ehh, if only it were a Seagate. That said, I might get this and drop it into my PS2. I'm currently running only 2 games off of an 8 gig Seagate that was pulled out of my Xbox.

That crossed my mind. Is there anything wrong with Maxtor? I've only owned Seagate and Western Digital.

When it comes to ultra high capacity drives, I personally wouldn't trust anything but Seagate or WD, but that's just personal preference.

I don't see any problem with Maxtor, I've never had a problem with any of their drives, but I just trust Seagate. Never heard of anyone having a problem, plus they offer a 5 years warranty on their drives.

I've owned several Maxtor, WD, and Seagate drives.

I've had multiple problems with both the Maxtor and WD's developing bad sectors after a couple of years.

The Seagate drives are flawless.

You could not pay me to use this newer generation of Western Digital. I have had 2 tivos die on me with WD in them. Now if it was one from 3 years ago, I would trust WD no problem.

Isnt that interesting.
The only one I ever had an issue with was a Seagate that I barely managed to get my business files off of before it totally crashed. But I have had more Seagates over the years than any other brand and buying another brand was a big step for me. I'll also never forget the day when I got my first Seagate 10 megabyte HD, I thought man I'm state of the art now and no more floppys.
