Anybody else concerned ???

With Training Camp just around the Corner, all the draft picks the Chiefs have signed thus far is a Offensive Tackle we took in the 7th round named Jeremy Parquet.

Thus leaving, Derrick Johnson, Dustin Colquitt, Cro Thorpe, Alphonso Hodge, Boomer Grigsby, Will Svitek, Khari Long, and James Kilian unsigned.

Does any of this concern you guys. The guys i want signed and in camp on time are DJ, Colquitt, Thorpe, and Hodge, the others I dont really care about.

How many draft picks around the league have been signed by the teams that drafted them?

The only one I'm concerned with is D. Johnson. The first round picks are usually the ones that hold out and are the ones the team needs the most.

dont know, but usually other years we have about 4 or 5 signed by now.

dont care about others teams, only care about this team.

The reason I bring up other teams is everyone is waiting for the market to be set. I think they shoud just have a predetermined salary based upon draft position. This would end all of htis crap every year.

I totally agree with you there, that would make it easier to get contracts set up signed and players into camp on time cause that means they cant hold out for more money.

Oh, wait. I haven't slept because my friend was over until 2:30 AM and I've been playing an MMORPG since he left. Disregard the previous statement.

I don't recall KC ever having trouble getting a 3rd round pick or lower into camp on time so no, I'm not worried at all about those. Derrick Johnson on the other hand could be a problem. I sure hope not. It's no big deal that he hasn't signed yet since that's typical but there's always the potential he could be a hold out. Given how atypical Peterson has been this offseason though I'll predict that Johnson will be signed in time for camp.

Carl has too much invested in this offseason to not get the rookies in. Barring something weird ala the Tait situation I think all will be into camp in a timely manner. The only complicating factor would be if some of the teams that drafted in the mid-first do something stupid in negotiating with their rooks.
