What's the longest distance that you've run?

Any marathoners here? Anyone ever run the Leadville 100 Ultramarathon (100 miles at 10,000 feet) or another ultramarathon?

I'm pretty proud because I made it six miles on my jog today, which is the most I've done in about ten years. I braved two enraged golden retrievers along the route, but it was otherwise uneventful.

I ran half marathons as a kid. I ran/walked the LA marathon at 11.

Now I walk to the backyard a few times a day.

I did 6 miles back when I first got my treadmil. Never ran a marathon though. I don't evn like running in groups, I prefer to run alone.

Ran a 18 mile "fun run" while in the military.

However, I don't remember it being much fun.

I probably run a lot during any given soccer match, I don't know what distance exactly though.

I've run 2 marathons. The Rock n Roll marathon in San Diego and the San Diego marathon in Carlsbad.

Done several half marathons and boatload of 10k and 5k.

That said my longest training run was 28.5 miles. Did it 3 weeks before the RnR marathon. Had to be sure I could make it all the way again.

I made it six miles in one setting, manymanymany moons ago. The wife just ran the Rock n Roll Marathon in San Diego last month, but I am pretty sure she didn't make it 26.2 miles without stopping.

Not as long as you started running again before the last of the water cleared your esophagus.

Used to have to run 3.3 miles every odd day in high school basketball.

Now I doubt if I can put in a 8 minute mile.
Best mile time ever: 6.32 in highschool.
And I was the big-boned/chunky/husky kid.

I've run many many miles on many occasions.

I always do it in my car though. Believe me, it's a LOT easier.

I ran a handful of thirty mile training runs.

During one particularly demented summer I ran one thirty mile and two twenty mile runs in a one week time period. I probably did that three or four times that summer.

Hardest run I ever completed was the Pikes Peak Marathon--up and down the dirt (and eventually rock switchback) trail. It's a little over a standard marathon and goes above 14,000 feet elevation at the top.

6 hours and change. Sore and dehydrated too. Beer afterwards helped the soreness, at least.
