Rookie Reports ! Chiefs 2nd round pick by Miami .

Matt Roth. 2nd rounder by dolphins

Justin Miller. 2nd round CB . Chiefs were considering.

Free agent Punter from Australia who the Chiefs SHOULD have considered instead of drafting one.

Chris Henry . 6-4" Wr by Bengals. Chiefs should have taken. Petro is an idiot for saying he would suck in this system. He's looked good !

Dan Cody . OU Def. End. Messageboard fav. gets hurt first day. Sucks.

Who says the Chiefs didn't consider Graham? WTF is wrong with drafting Colquitt when we did?

I like Chris Henry a lot, but he's immature and we probably wouldn't have drafted even if we had the chance. Same with Justin Miller, who only fell to the 2nd round because he got arrested or something days before the draft.

Personally, I'm happier with this year's draft than I have been in years. Sure there are other guys that we could have drafted that are doing well, but for the first time in a long time, I felt that we got our biggest needs taken care of with quality players that WILL make the team (DJ, Surtain - through trade and Colquitt). Those were positions of extreme need for us and we have players now to fill them.

I have no problem with drafting Dustin Colquitt, he's supposed to be pretty damn good and we've had a lot of problems with punters in the past years. Plus I think it it stupid to keep looking at these 2nd rounders when we traded ours for PATICK SURTAIN!!! You know how much better our secondary is going to be with him?

I am just playing hypothetical.

If we hadn't traded would we wouldnd't have gotten a bust like previous drafts.

Everything looks ok in my opinion if we had take Roth or CB Miller. They don't look like busts.

Maybe but they will be in no way possible the difference maker that Surtain will be & is. We got the best 2nd rounder drafted bar none.

Everything does not look good, because Carl would not have picked either of these guys... I mean, he almost screwed up DJ (trying to trade down) as he fell to his lap...

Our 3 1st day picks will be our #1 CB, our starting P (that looks very promising) and our starting LB by week 3 (who looks very promising as well).

If we would have picked either of these guys (Roth or Miller), they would be on the bench... We would see Mcleon as our #1, Bartee as our #2 and Miller fighting it out vs Sapp for the nickel on opening day w/ Warfield suspended... Hows that for Hypothetical?????

Why?

This is the first time in years that I can remember not coming away from the draft pissed, or at the very least, scratching my head in befuddlement at draft decisions.

I'm not going to worry about hypotheticals.

I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the camp reports, and hope that every player we picked that has real upside realize their potential in the coming years.

Surtain is great . My point is that Roth and Miller don't look bad if Carl couldn't have gotten Surtain.

But Carl did get Surtain, and he picked a kid, Alphonso Hodge, who has potential at CB.

He can look at CBs in the next draft.

But this year he got one of the top 5 CBs in the league for a 2nd round pick.

I just don't understand why you are even looking this other stuff.

Comparison of previous drafts is the point. I think we would have gotten a good playmaker.

I can't imagine why anyone would waste time 2nd-guessing THIS offseason?

That's just crazy.
