Here it sits at 4:52am with 99,978 posts. Isn't 100,000 posts in a political forum on a football board a sign of the apocalypse or something?

That's even more amazing when you consider how young DC is.

Really I would thank/blame the elections, they generated a lot of posts. I would also thank/blame the liberals on the board, like jAZ, Mememe!, and TC, there seems to be a direct flow of "insights" from Democratic Underground to DC. And I blame Carl. Damnit Carl!

I'm still thinking about writing a quickie app and giving it a user account on the board. I'll name it "LibBot" or something equally uncreative. It will simply scrape the DU every couple of hours for something to do with Bush, the Iraq War, abortion, or Religion; post it in the DC forum, then add it's own anti-Bush comment at the end (by finding one in a DU post). I think it would be marvelous.

It will probably easier just to put MeMeMe! out of a job through technology rather than trying to get her banned. It will also allow jaz some more time to pursue other endeavors.

Could you write an app that would falsify quotes so Talking Can can get some time off?
